Step-by-step guide to creating a physical product in UGBox, configuring variants, connecting to a sales funnel, setting up payments, and managing customer orders.

Written by Patrick Muwanguzi

This guide walks you through creating a physical product in UGBox, adding variants, connecting it to a sales funnel, configuring payments, and managing orders.

Step 1: Create a Physical Product

Sign in to your UGBox account at box.ugmail.co/en/login. In the main menu, go to Assets → Physical Products and click Create.

On the product creation page, fill in the following fields: Name, Description, SKU, Tax Rate, Tax Behavior (Inclusive or Exclusive), Currency, Price, Weight, Inventory, and Shipping. You can also upload one or more product images.

Step 2: Configure Product Variants

If your product has different versions (e.g., colors or sizes), you can create variants by adding product options. Click Add Another Option to create additional option groups. UGBox automatically generates all possible combinations.

Variant limits by plan:

  • Free plan: up to 50 physical product variants

  • Startup plan: up to 100 physical product variants

  • Business plan: up to 250 physical product variants

  • Growth plan: unlimited physical product variants

Step 3: Create a Sales Funnel

To sell your physical product, you need a sales funnel with an order form. Go to Sales Funnels, click Create, choose a funnel template, enter a funnel name, select the same currency used for your product, and click Save. Your funnel must include at least an Order Form page and a Thank You page.

The currency selected for the funnel must match the currency configured in your product settings.

Step 4: Add the Product to the Funnel

Open your Order Form step in the funnel. Under Offer Type, select Physical Product, then choose the product you created from the list and save your changes. Only products that use the same currency as the funnel will be available for selection.

Step 5: Configure Payments

Connect at least one supported payment gateway to your UGBox account before accepting orders. UGBox supports: Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave, Paystack, Razorpay, Mollie, Mercado Pago, GoCardless, Xendit, and Cash on Delivery (where available).

Step 6: Customize the Order Form

Open the Order Form step in your funnel and click Edit Page. In the left sidebar, go to the Payment section and drag the Physical Product element onto your page. All the information you added when creating your product will appear here. Drag the Offer Price element to display the price. Click Save in the top right corner when done.

The page editor does not have auto-save. Remember to save frequently. Once changes are saved, the old version of the page cannot be restored.

Step 7: View Customer Orders

Log in to UGBox and go to Sales → Orders. This page lists all customer orders. You can filter by date, type, status, and product.

Important: Shipping and Fulfillment

UGBox does not manage shipping or fulfillment. You are solely responsible for preparing and shipping the product to your customer after payment is received, and for handling delivery times, tracking, and shipping-related communication.
